Resin 3D Printing in London
Resin printing cures liquid photopolymer layer by layer with light, producing smooth surfaces and very fine detail. It's the technology we reach for when appearance and precision matter most.

High-detail resin production
Very thin layers and a light-cured process mean fine features, crisp edges and smooth surfaces straight off the printer, with far less visible layering than filament-based methods.
Prototypes and detailed components
Resin is well suited to appearance prototypes, small housings, fit-check parts and components with intricate geometry that would be difficult to machine or mould at low volume.
Miniatures and model production
Tabletop miniatures, display figures, scale models and master patterns benefit from resin's surface quality. We handle support placement and orientation to protect visible detail.
Batch resin printing
Resin isn't just for one-offs. Parts can be nested and produced across multiple machines for consistent batches, from a handful of pieces to larger production runs.
Well suited to
- +Miniatures and figures
- +Jewellery masters and patterns
- +Detailed prototypes
- +Dental and display models
- +Small precision components
Things to consider
- –Standard resins can be more brittle than filament parts under impact
- –Build volume is typically smaller than FDM, so large parts may be split
- –Some resins are sensitive to prolonged UV exposure outdoors
- –Parts need washing and post-curing, which forms part of lead time
Common questions
Is resin printing better than FDM?
Neither is better overall. Resin gives finer detail and smoother surfaces; FDM is usually better for larger, tougher functional parts. We'll recommend whichever suits your project.
Can resin parts be painted?
Yes. Resin parts take primer and paint well once supports are removed and the surface is prepared.
Can you print resin parts in quantity?
Yes. We regularly run batches across multiple printers. Send the file and quantity and we'll advise on the most efficient setup.
